The Best Brownie Recipe Ever!

Hello beautiful people! As some of you may know last week was half term, and I spent some of it round one of my very good friends. Whilst I was round there, we made the most amazing brownies which I am going to share with you today!

     You will need :

  • 175g (6oz) unsalted butter, chopped, plus extra to grease
  • 150g (5oz) of your favorite chocolate (I used cadbury dairy milk caramel)
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 300g (11oz) caster sugar
  • 75g (3oz) plain flour
  • 40g (1½oz) cocoa powder (I used whittard's caramel hot chocolate)
  • Icing sugar, to dust
      Method

The first thing you'll want to do is melt the butter and chocolate together in a bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water, making sure the base of the bowl isn't touching the water. When the mixture is melted and cooled, set aside to cool for about 20 minutes.

Whilst the mixture is cooling, preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C / mark 4), and lightly grease a 20.5cm (8in) square tin with parchment. Using an electric whisk, beat the eggs and sugar in a large bowl until thick and creamy - roughly 5 minutes.

Add the melted and cooled chocolate mixture to the egg bowl and fold together with a metal spoon (I didn't read the recipe and used a wooden spoon, it doesn't really matter though). Sift over the flour and cocoa powder with a pinch of salt and continue to fold the mixture together.

Scrape the mixture into the tin you prepared earlier, making it level and bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven. You'll know its done when a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Sprinkle with icing sugar if you feel like it and cut into squares and enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed this recipe, I know me and my friend did :) I'll see you all next time!

      Spring Room Decor

Hello beautiful people! The days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter, that only means one thing - spring's on it's way! Today I'm going to be showing you some ideas on how to make your room spring ready.

The first idea  I had was to buy a quote on a canvas and hang it over my bed. This one is from Claires and was £7.

Something I'd seen all over tumblr / pintrest was rattan hearts, and lights on the wall. I decided to put the two ideas together and brought these from Argos for £14.99 and hung them around my mirror.

When I went on Google and typed in spring room decor, something very similar to this popped up, and I liked it a lot. All you need is a selection of your favorite lipsticks, a photo frame and a sheet of paper. Start by applying the lipstick and kiss the paper, alternating colours in between. Once the page is full, put it in the frame and hang it up wherever you like.

Whenever I'm sat at my desk doing homework, I looked up and saw a plain boring wall. I decided to turn that wall space into a collage of photos, tickets and memories with my 5SOS calendar in the middle.

I had seen this in a lot of room decor videos or in the background of videos and I really wanted to give it a try. All you need is a magazine, scissors and blue-tac. Cut the letters out for the word you want and stick them to the wall.

I hope you enjoyed this post and got some idea's for you room this spring. I'll see you all next time!

      Hair Growth tips & Tricks

Hello beautiful people, happy valentines day everyone! Thank you for all your comments on my last post, it's nice to know I have readers worldwide.
Today I have some hair growth tips & tricks for you all. In 2013 I decided to have my hair cut mega short, and trust me, a few months later I hated it. I couldn't do anything with it and it kinda annoyed me, especially when I saw other people with this long, healthy hair. So, last year I decided to grow it all out and now I'm sharing my tips with you guys!

      1. Get your hair trimmed every month. Hair growth starts at the roots, and if my hair was damaged at the tips (which it was) it would only travel up. It didn't even need to be much you have trimmed, from 1/4 an inch to 1/2 an inch. either way, if you want your hair to be the healthiest you can get, you'll need to get rid of the damaged hair first.
      2. Adjust how many times you wash your hair. Now I know this may sound gross in a way but, if you're one of the people who washes your hair every day then you'll need to change that. Washing your hair strips it of all the oils that keep it healthy and make it grow faster, making it more brittle and prone to breaking easier. To prevent this from happening, wash your hair 2-3 times a week and you should notice a change.
      3. Stay away from heat. High temperatures from blow dryers, curling irons, blow dryers and flat irons might work wonders to style your hair but on the downside, they seriously fry your hair and cause a lot of damage & breakage. Try to avoid using them whenever possible, and if you must use them, adjust the heat to the lowest setting.
      4. Eat healthy & stay hydrated. Eating healthy has endless benefits as we all know, and one of them is hair growing faster and healthier. Drinking lots of water  clears out the toxins in your body, as well helping support the systems that run it. To help you grow your hair make sure you stay hydrated and eat healthy. Over the next few weeks you should notice a difference in you hair (and nails, skin and mental health)

I hope these will help you, they did with me. It took me all of 2014 to get my hair the length it is now (just above my waist). Thanks for reading!

      My Everyday Makeup

Hello beautiful people! I was just looking through my stats, browsing through my blog setup and everything, and saw I have readers in the UK, and Ireland, aswell as America, which I am so happy about! Hello new readers, I hope you all like my blog :)

Today I'm going to tell you how I do my makeup on an every day basis. Whether it's for school, going out with my friends or family, this look rarely changes, and if it does, it's usually the eye makeup or foundation.

So I usually first moisturise my skin with the simple kind to skin replenishing cream. I love this, so much. Whenever my skin is really dry I just need to put a little bit of this on over night or in the morning and BAM! my skin's back again.

After that, I'll go ahead with my foundation. I'm currently using the miss sporty so matte perfect stay in the shade 001 ivory with a little sponge. This foundation is perfect if you're on a tight budget or need foundation asap. It gives a good coverage and stays for a long time. Then, I will go ahead and cover my under eye circles and any other bits with my makeup revolution focus & fix concealer in 03 light. I cannot stress how good this is, and from what I remember, it wasn't that expensive either.

Next, I use the rimmel stay matte powder in the shade 006 warm beige to set my foundation and concealer. One of the main reasons as to why I use this so much is because it doesn't make my skin look powdery or cakey, which is one thing I always look for in a powder.

Now the basics is done, I move onto my brows. With an angled brush, I use the MUA matte palette - ever after's shade fade along my natural brow shape, to make them look more gathered. I wouldn't say that this shade is exact, but it's the closest I can ever find that doesn't make my eye brows look like caterpillars. Then, I'll use a lip balm to soften them for the lipstick later.

Once that's done, I use my dream sun bronzer in the shade 01 blonde. I apply this on my cheekbones, temples, down the side of my nose and jawline. I think this bronzer really finishes off a look no matter what.

So after my face is done, I'll go ahead and move onto my eye makeup. The first Thing I do is line my eyes with the Maybelline big eyes liner - white on the bottom and black on the top. After I've done that, I'll use my two favorite mascaras - Makeup revolution Amazing Volume and MUA extreme curl. MUA's extreme curl does exactly what it says; shapes lashes from root to tip for a long lasting curl, as does Makeup Revolutions Amazing Volume give amazing volume. Together these are a match made in heaven.

The last thing I'l do is lipstick. I do like to change up the colours I wear, but my school are very picky with what we are and are not allowed. ( I really can't see how a lip colour could distract someone's learning) Usually, I go for the natural, safe colour : MUA bare, but if I'm feeling different or bored I like the shades 7, nectar and tulip, all by MUA.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. You may have found out about my addiction to MUA - whoopsie! I'll see you all next time, bye xx

      January Favorites and ITS SNOWING!!!

Hello guys, today I have my January favorites for you all. As I'm writing this its snowing and it's not light either, I just took some really cool photos I'll leave below :)

So one thing I've been loving in the month of January are the MUA lipsticks. Oh my holy god, these are my life right now. In particular I've been loving the shade bare for a natural lip and shade 17 for a winter berry look. These last quite a while, and are very moisturising. I buy mine from my local superdrug, there's lots of shades and they're only £1 each, some are even half price in the online sale!! No need to say I'm stocking up!

Another thing I've been addicted to ever since I brought it is the MUA Matte Palette. I love using this for neutral, matte smokey eyes, and the browns are good for filling in my eyebrows. At £4 this is a bargain, and if you buy it now you get a free volume mascara!

The foundation that is my holy grail for January is the Rimmel London Match Perfection. I wear this in the shade 'classic beige' and I really love it. It's the only foundation I own were I have no need for concealer after. What makes it better is it has SPF protection up to 18 (which you dont really need in the UK right now) and stays put ALL DAY! The only down side is it's not a matte finish, but apart from that I 100% recommend it!

Recently I went to my local Primark and picked up the I love... bubble bath/shower gel. These smell so nice and just oh my god! I brought these in the scents strawberries & cream and coconut & cream and I've been loving them. At one pound each they really are a bargain!

Off of beauty, my favorite TV series for this month is The Vampire Diaries. I have no words to describe how much I'm in love with this. When Damon and Elena got together I was so happy but upset for Stefan :( But yea, Vampire Diaries is just perfection.

Onto my favorite film, I've been loving The Fault In Our Stars. I watched this non stop when I opened it on my birthday in November, I'm talking every day, and then I just stopped watching it. But one day in the winter break I found it again, and I still cry every time. It's just Gus - GAHHH!!! I would totally recommend this film if your a sucker for romance, but not before reading the book of course :)

Talking of books, as I mentioned in the last post, I haven't been able to tear my head away from Girl Online by Zoe Sugg (aka Zoella). This is so relatable, I can see Zoe in Penny aswell. I take this everywhere with me, whether I'm going to school, a friends house or even out for dinner, you'll always find this in my bag somewhere!

My favorite album this month has to be four by one direction, in particular act my age and fireproof. I got this for Christmas but I hadn't listened to it until a few weeks ago, and the songs are so good. One Direction have completely changed they're style of music and I can say I really do love it. In particular my two favorite songs on the album have to be act my age and night changes.

So that was my January Favorites, I hope you guys enjoyed reading them and found some new things to try out! I love you all, thankyou for reading and I'll see you in my net post, bye xx
