Exam Tips & Tricks

Hey guys! So during the second week of June I have my exam week, this will determine what sets I'll be in for net year and my GCSE's. I thought I could help a few of you guys who have exams, by giving you s few tips and tricks.
Just before I start I would just like to say that you should always, no matter what REVISE!! This is something I learnt the hard way. For the majority of this year, I went through my exams not revising, and if i did it was only a little bit. And I wondered why my levels weren't the best?! If there is one thing I want you guys to take from this, it would be to revise, whether it's for a few minutes or an hour and a half. You have to revise to get the levels and grades you want.
  1. My first tip is to use flash cards. One of my teachers introduced these to my class during year 8, and I can honestly say they make it so much easier to revise. All you do is write a question on one side and the answer on the other. You can do these on your own or with a friend to make it more fun!
  2. Number two is buy a revision book on the subject you're struggling with. For me it's science, I just can't get my head around it, I never have been able to. So I asked my dad to buy me a revision book and my levels have improved a lot since. They cover everything, all the biology, physics and chemistry as well as making it easier to understand. You don't have to spend a lot either, my dad got mine from amazon for a very little price.
  3. My third and final tip is something that helped me out a lot. One of my old friends told be about this website called Quizlet and it basically has saved me for my end of year exams. It's pretty simple really, you type in the question on the left and the answer in the right and it gives you so many fun ways to learn them. My favorite has to be scatter or quiz. And the best thing is - it's free!!
So that's it for this post, I hope I helped you out a bit, I know these tips work for me!
