Hey guys, so I'm really sorry about me not posting for a few months, I've been really busy over the summer and now I'm back in school and fingers crossed that I can post on here a bit more, however that will depend on schoolwork and other things.
If you didn't already know I use to be in year 9 and now (after seven glorious weeks of no school whatsoever) I'm back in school, year 10 or grade 9 to those reading in America, and I've been thrown into the deep end of the GCSE life, yay for me. In year 9 I got the option to choose some subjects that I will do during year 10 and 11, and I chose Core & Additional Science, Media, Music, Art and History. I've decided that today, my blog post will be about giving you who are going into high school or in KS3 some advice on tips and FAQ.
The first topic is something that I was so worried about when I was first going into year 7 - "how different is it from primary school?" I'm not going to lie here, it is pretty different, and the change is quite hard at first, but after 2 or 3 weeks, you'll fall into a routine. I remember being confused as to why we didn't have assembly every morning, and why we had set teachers for set subjects. It was all so weird but by the first half term I'd grown to love it, and asking some of my friends, they say that they rather high school than primary by far!
The next thing I would like to mention is homework-the one thing we all love oh so very much *note sarcasm* In KS2 aka primary school, I didn't really get a lot of homework, I don't know if it was just my school or everywhere, however when you go into secondary school, you will be shocked and it will take time getting use to the overload of work to do at home. My top tips are to just do it the night it get's set and don't fall out of the routine, because after you've done it once you will keep letting it slide.
The last topic I have is bullies. Bullies are everywhere, and you can't escape them. Some schools (most schools) will claim that their school is bully free and the majority of the time it's a load of rubbish. Something my mum once told me when I was younger was 'a school who says they have no bullies is a school with multiple bullies' and talking from experience I have to agree. My advice if you are getting bullied is speak to someone, whether it's a teacher, a parent, and aunt a grandparent, just speak to someone. I know a lot of people say this,, and it's because it's true, if you speak to an adult they will be able to try and help you.
That's it for this post, I hope it helped a lot of you who are going into KS3/4 out! I will try to be posting on here a lot more as I find it's quite beneficial and I enjoy it a lot, but if I don't post every week, please don't get mad as I have a lot of schoolwork and that will be my main focus, then my blog and YouTube - which by the way I have 100 subscribers! Thankyou all so so so much, you don't know how much it means and how crazy it feels to think one hundred people around the world watch me. I love you all so much, bye <3
